I read that Brenn is at a JUCO. Is it the intention of the team to get him some AB's and him come back? Or was he just cut?

It is my understanding that Brenn Conrad decided on his own to go to a juco for one year at Iowa Western. Looks like a pretty solid program up there. One would have to think from a baseball standpoint that AB's played a part. Not sure as to whether or not Robe and Conrad discussed returning but I would have to assume they did. I do know for a fact that there was no "drama" between Conrad and the UL coaching staff. Just a decision that the young man made. I guess if we have any further questions, we could just ask Jace !

From the KATC news clip, the team looked to be sporting some new caps with a fleur de lis.

Not sure I have posted this before but I was told last year that an effort was being made to move towards the fleur de lis as the primary graphic for all sports. It is a little bit of an effort getting all the various sports and coaches working in the same direction but at the time that was the push being made by marketing & media relations. It appears that maybe we have some traction and that eventually all sports will consistently be utilizing the fleur de lis in their designs. Note that this will go beyond uniforms as well. Pretty sure we first saw it on the sideline chairs for basketball.

The last issue of the LaLouisiane had the Fleur de Lis on the cover and talked about branding the university with that and use of LOUISIANA athletically.
