UL Softball Results from Spring Klein Classic

I was in Houston on Saturday and found out the Cajuns were playing in Spring, Texas, so I made the drive to check them out. They played the University of Texas at San Antonio in the first game. The Cajuns won, I think, 12-0. The scoreboard was not working. Kelsey Vincent, a sophomore from Tomball, Texas hit a grand slam. In the second game the Cajuns faced off against Baylor. I had to leave in the fifth inning with the Cajuns ahead 3-0. I don't know if they hung on to win. Macey Smith, a freshman from Houston pitched all four innings. It was an impressive performance. Maybe she will be the second pitcher the Cajuns are in need of. There were a handful of Cajun fans there. Most were friends or relatives of the players from the Houston area.

I think the scoreboard wasn't working because they do not keep score in the fall games. There is open substitution. Meaning that some would could play right field and bat 7th, but could come in to pinch run for the number 2 hitter.

Anyway thanks for the info and they are playing at home this weekend.
