Not sure if they saw them against OSU saturday night, but they seem to have a QB with an accurate arm, that can move around pretty well. they seem to have some nice size and speed at WR. and, they run the ball like its nobody's business. And, a couple very ineteresting stats 1.) they've lost a lead in a game 7 times this year, they've scored on the very next drive 6 times. 2.) They went into the OSU game with only 34 penalties in 9 games...they don't kill themselves. They're also averaging 42+ points per game, second most in the nation, although that could be elevated due to their schedule.

Defensively, I'm not willing to take a stance. I do know, however, that Aqib Talib seems pretty special. And, they did a pretty good of keeping OSU at bay while their Offense did their job. Obviously OSU chances were hurt when bowman got hurt, but did you see that freshman Des Bryant, and the catches he made? Wow! Nonetheless, the defense did what they had to do.

Overall, they are a good team, and if they get through MU and OU, then I WOULD be worried if I were an LSU fan. Just think Kentucky. Defense that does what they need to do. Offense that spreads you out. Good Rushing team. Good passing team. Offense moves the pocket around. Its too early to make any predictions, but like I said, be careful what you wish for. _
nice points; but since some team has to get there, it's kansas i've landed on as of now. oregon clearly excellent, and i expect oklahoma would have less of the 'jitters' than kansas--ordinarily when teams get to someplace big for the first time, they might now perform like they would later, with some experience under their belt. see s. fla and b.c. this year. tho' i hope for kansas, i have serious doubts they can beat mizzou and o.u. and lsu ain't beat ole miss, arky, tenn/ga/fla yet, either. it is fun playing around with it, however. spending WAY too much time playing on the 'net when i should be working.

Me and another buddy were discussing conference strength. I said your conference's non-conference record against BCS conference's determines your conference's strength.

We looked up the SEC and PAC 10. The SEC was only 5-5 v.s the other BCS conferences. The losses were South Florida, Florida St., California, West Virginia, and Missouri. The PAC 10 was 5-3.

Never underestimate the underdog factor....Boise State sure shocked Ok. last year and I recall Iowa upsetting lsu in a bowl game a few years ago. Kansas has 100 years of pent up frustration...they could be due...JMO. I'd like to see them get there, personally...Rock Chalk!!!

I give the edge (slight) to LSU in any NC match-up right now. I just think the SEC and LSU has the talent across the board edge against the current contenders. The SEC does not have a single dominant team right now, and it is hard to say how well a Kansas or an Oregon would be in SEC play... but, I give the SEC champion the nod against the current cast of NC contender possibilities. But, we do not know, so that is why they play the game.

You'd have to do that anyway, seeing how their 'flagship status" was legislated by the legislature that legislates such things.

    Dig?

Oh my dear friend, I know all about what they've done in this state to get where they are. I'm just saying that they are arguably the best football team in the nation.

I don't know that I'd give them the edge in the NC game because they'd be the overwhelmingly better team, but because it would be a home game for them.
