Hated to see Gillis go down tonight.
Does anyone have an update on how bad it is?
He didnt put any weight on one leg while being helped off of the field....not good.

@TDARaginCajuns: UL sixth-year senior S Rodney Gillis broke his lower right leg in tonight's 48-24 win over Texas St. It may be career-ending, but not sure.
The shot on the sideline after he came back on the field in crutches said everything that needed to be said about how much everyone in the locker room respects him. Hopefully he sticks around and provides the same leadership role that Gautier did after his injury last year. He may not be on the field, but he can still be a huge part of the team.
He's the definition of dedication. He's battled through more injuries than most guys would to play football for us. Good luck to him wherever he ends up.
UL’s sixth-year senior with rotten luck was on the receiving end of yet another lick of it Saturday night.
Ragin’ Cajuns coach Mark Hudspeth said safety Rodney Gillis broke his lower right leg in the first half of the Ragin’ Cajuns’ 48-24 win over Texas State at Cajun Field.
UL officials weren’t immediately sure if the break involved the ankle.
Damn, hate to see that it is career ending.
@TDARaginCajuns: UL spokesman: Senior S Rodney Gillis, who broke his lower right leg in Saturday's win over Texas State, will undergo surgery Wednesday.
@TDARaginCajuns: UL spokesman: Only sometime after surgery Wednesday will it be known if starting S Rodney Gillis' injury (broken lower leg) is career-ending
Hate to see this happen. True heart, grit, and dedication by Gillis to keep getting up and swinging.
Thanks for being a cajun, Rodney. Hope you have a speedy recovery man.
