Is this something you know for sure, and have heard from their mouths, or are you just commenting? If you have heard it, and you know their names, then give them to me, and to all of us, and we'll get that thing knocked the hell out of town. As fans, if we can get together to give $1500+ to a scholarship fund, and currently over $1000 to the Track team, then we sure as hell can get a petition, and provide enough evidence and material and propaganda to prove why this pepper is the worst idea ever.

Remember, the "higher ups" are changing. Dr. S and Scott Farmer might just be receptive to changes that would enhance UL athletics. This is certainly one of them.

But Scott Farmer said on Jay's show the other day that he loved the pepper. Jay respond with, "now that you have made all of our listeners pull over, roll their window down, and puke......"

As far as where I get my mascot infor from, it's a fairly reliable source.

I don't know who exactly you would contact about it but I would start w/ either the Cheerleaders or the Logos and Licensing Dept. but not positive.

If a mascot change never happens then we should think about getting someone to wear the costume who has a little school spirit. But I would still perfer a totally different mascot.

_ I like the Gator. We could build a sanctuary of some sort around the athletic complex and actually have two gators, a male and a female.

Personally, I think peppers are much better roasted.

Here's my suggestion in three easy steps.

Step 1 - Get one of our student forum-ites to apply for and win the job of Cayenne

Step 2 - Get the costume

Step 3 - Throw the costume on on to a waiting grill (perhaps Krewe de Chew could volunteer their rig?)
