I remember them trying Ainge, Dennis Johnson, and even Kevin McHale against him as none of them could shut him down. In my opinion, without the foot trouble the guys a three or four time All Star.
sounds like sex talk to me... lol sorry
They even tried putting Larry Bird on Toney. It did not work.
We have started a Facebook page to help get Andrew Toney's #22 retired from the Philadelphia 76ers.
If you would like to help out with the cause we ask that you visit the page and hit the like button.

I am planning 22 days of Toney on Philaphans.com as part of my News, Notes, & Quotes section.
Day 1 - http://philaphans.com/sixers/?p=18669
Day 2 - http://philaphans.com/sixers/?p=18770
If you have stories or information please let me know and I can include them. Day two highlights what lead to SW Louisiana getting the death penalty and how Toney choosing the University helped restart the program.
Thanks, and please show your support.

Mods - if you can "sticky" this, it would be much appreciated.
Great idea, should be fun.

Anyone who wants to tell me a story of his exploits while a player there is welcome to contact via e-mail.
I will try to get info from the University's sports information office. If anyone has a contact, let me know.
Thanks to those who have stopped by. One of his teammates with the Sixers his first couple of years with the team told me that he had foot issues when he was a rookie. Its a shame because the guy was a HOFer if he was healthy. He reminded me of a cross between Ray Allen and Dwayne Wade.
