Why can't they put the Cajun gear online? I've emailed them requesting they do this. Sheez! Louisiana Hot Stuff is the only real online vendor and it looks like a high school student slapped it together.

I won't. If you look on their facebook page there's not a hint of purple or gold. It's all UL gear and UL news. And in the store it seems like it's 70/30 UL stuff, with nothing but red and white in the windows and all the LSU stuff buried in back. It's a Baton Rouge store but I think they "get it." And I think we should at least give them a look for giving UL the right amount of respect.

And hell, if you open a sports apparel store in Lafayette and you don't sell LSU gear you're either a huge idiot or a guy who hates making money.

Dude they push Cajuns merch with pride in the store and their original designs...even though some have Lafayette are solid...as solid as a city tag design can be. Its a good start. Think about the scenario for a second, a baton rouge store has made an attempt. I'm not saying we should be grateful for any attention, but I get a sincerity vibe from these kids running the store. You feel ots not up to snuff? Then tell them how to make it better instead of just taking a dump on it. Due to the inept message coming from our own people they probably aren't even aware of the true pulse so make them aware before you dismiss is my point. Rant out

Had a discussion with the Manager on the topic. They are restricted by law if they have just Louisiana with no Lafayette in printing. They can have just Ragin Cajuns or Louisiana Ragin Cajuns . As stated before they are trying very hard to be a Cajun supporter. I did say I buy nothing with Louisiana- Lafayette on it, and it was understood.

They are not restricted by law. The U of L Lafayette rule is a law or rule for the universities only. Now they may not be able to find the stuff we like, but that is on us to figure out.

The rule says whenever we use U of L we need to include Lafayette at 50% the size. It says nothing about color. I still have a red UL baseball hat with Lafayette in red while the UL is in white.

I might consider buying stuff like this, but honestly I am fine with dropping the UL and going with Louisiana and Ragin'Cajuns vs having the Lafayette in any color or way.

I am also thinking they should sell the shirts with the UL @ Lafayette as a sew on or iron on kit. Then I could simply delete the damned Lafayette. I would buy tons of gear with that.

I went there for the first time last week. They have some nice shirts. Unfortunately they do have some with yellow and the city tag us present on some. But they do have some gear that is just Louisiana. Due to their effort I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now. Hopefully over time they will see the yellow and city tag does not sell like the stuff with just Louisiana and their inventory wii adjust accordingly.
