Blaine Gauthier is a Drew Brees sized QB that wants to play close to home, Drew Brees decided to play 1200 miles from home. He is a kid with character that will do the right things on and off the field. He is a student of the game, with an impressive work ethic.

    Be happy! _
JR type numbers and the best offers he got other than us was D-2 or whatever that division is called nowdays??

Look I hope the kid is great.. I remember a young QB that was not highly recruited by the name of Jake Delhomme.. Kid had a decent career :-) Im not down on the kid.. I'm down on what it seems our focus is not... not chasing bigger time athletes...

Au contraire, mon frere....or something like that....

The Curry kid from Texas has his eye on us. He is a 3 star QB from Tejas. Lots of folks on him, he has a soft commit to UTEP. He really liked his visit here, and performed well at camp. Time will tell.

I'm very geeked about the kid from Lutcher. My concern is not with the athletes that we are recruiting, but with the inability of the coaching staff to use them properly. As much as I hated last season and think that we need a new coach, I am pumped about next year.

Are we not in need of Linebackers and Dlinemen? Everything seems to be on the offensive side. ?????

The DA reported that we got a JC LB and a JC Safety. NO word on DL yet other than the HS nose tackle.

That is correct. But, this kid is a very solid take for UL, if he signs. Lutcher booster friends of mine (and these people are very serious about their football) told me that he is an extremely good player. Lutcher faced some defenses that dwarfed them this year. Their OL could not handle some of the DL they faced. Blaine would still manage to complete passes and take a major league pop. What Lutcher fans liked most about him was his toughness. He would jump right back up and go right back at em. They said it was surprising how big he plays for his size. He is not going to "show up" on major out of state talent sheets. We are getting a really QB in Blaine.

I liken it to a St. Charles Catholic friend of mine that could not believe UL snagged Fenroy. He told me prior to me ever seeing Tyrell on the field that Fenroy was a superstar that could have played for any of the top 20 teams in the US. The deciding factor was when he was sized up by the heralded media types that run around with a measuring stick, his "dimensions" didn't catch the BCS schools' attention.

I would much rather an undersized superstar than some of the "stat sized" people that coaches tend to pick up... that later look like they are wading thru knee deep mud on the field.

I like one more thing... the buzz in the river parishes is that UL likes their players. We are building a pipeline in that area... and that cannot hurt.

I responded to you earlier. Maybe the cyber police are studying it... it did smell like fresh donuts.
