_ Cajuns Get Verbal From Texas Back

The Cajun staff was looking to build for the future at the running back position with senior Tyrell Fenroy and junior Deon Wallace returning for the 2008 season. A Texas high school athlete has given the Cajuns another commitment for the 2008 recruiting class.

Conroe running back Draylon Booker has quietly put together a very good season. The 6-0, 190-pound senior was part of a very good tiger backfield the wreaked havoc opposing defenses, that included college prospects Lou Greenwood and DD Johnson.

"It's the strength of our team," said CHS head coach Roger Holtkamp. "Draylon Booker can do some special things on the football field. Draylon is a big, tall, strong runner," he said. "He has a long stride. When he gets going north and south. _

This guy looks like a solid RB. Just from searching around, I found he is Texas District 15-5A Offensive Player of the Year for Conroe HS which was a very good team.

He shared a lot of time with two other younger RB's.

Interesting note, his name Draylon Booker, listed for Conroe HS and under Scout.com it shows a commit to "Lafayette" and size is 6'2",188,runs 4.74. However, if you look up Daylon Booker, also shown at Conroe with 6'0,180,4.4 and shows interest from Florida, Georgia Tech, LSU, Oklahoma etc. There's only one D. Booker RB at Conroe. Maybe it's only interesting to me, but you know how these recruiting sites are.

It is the same guy, why they have us as the Lafayette I guess Leopards I don't know. They have him as a one star and as a two star. Clearly somebody dropped the ball when setting up this listing. It was not the staff at the Louisiana site that put this together, instead Fox & Scout.

I'm talking about AFTER signing day; not right now. We both know that Rivals and Scout miss out on players. I'm pretty sure Rivals (at least) had all our recruits at a min of 2 stars after the Feb signing. Ditto for ULM.

Ya, he's loving it and starting to get a pretty good stash of wines.
