Is the 40 time correct? If scout is going off of that as a CB then I am not suprised he is listed as one star. I have a feeling he plays a lot faster than that, and that is all scout has to rank him.

Scout has not updated his ranking, he will be updated soon. You don't get offers from Iowa, Iowa St and Toledo; and not be a decent prospect.
Melvin White played both ways in high school, he projects as a safety. Not QB, we have Gautier. We recruit a lot of athletes and project them at other positions.
He played CB for the Florida 5A State Champions, a team that is ranked nationally in the top 25 by several sources, including ESPN.
The Raiders allowed only 6 passing TD's in 15 games, and held opponents to less than a 42% completion ratio for the year, with only 113 completions made out of 272 attempts.
Gillis is a shutdown corner, and led his team in INT's with 5. I would not worry about how he tested at the Miami Scout Combine, something is fishy about the results. You never see a kid with a 40 time that is faster than their shuttle. He had a 3 cone pro shuttle that was under 8, I think he rolled his ankle or something...I would disregard the results on his profile.
Be Happy, he is a great player!
Hopefully our good-looking recruiting class doesn't lead to more "young team" excuses in August.
He sure sounds like it. I was just curious how such a good player, who had offers from bigger schools, was only rated with 1 star (on Scout). You and CT did a pretty good job answering that.
Thanks guys. Hopefully, we'll have many more threads like this over the course of the next 7-8 days.
This recruiting class is really starting to take shape. We may not have stacked up early like some teams, but as this class adds on up to signing day, I think a lot of people are going to be impressed with this incoming group. They are going to push a lot of people early on for playing time and be major contributors for UL.
Good times ahead. Good times.
Damaris Johnson. It sounds like he isn't showing his cards until the very end. I don't know if we have a solid shot or not, but it cannot hurt that Chris is going to suit up for the Cajuns... nothing like having a friend to hang out with right off the bat in your college career. I hope Damaris decides that UL is a great place for him to showcase his skills as well.
