Hey Cajun T, whats the deal with Marvin White? What position do you think he will play here?
"Had he come here, a 2 QB system probably would have beem employed, and, over time, it would have become evident that we would have been best served with DF at QB and Desmo greatly helping out a much maligned defense and returning punts."
While I agree that one of the two would not have ended up a QB, I believe you have your players reversed.
It's a down year across the state for LA HS football. LaTech, LSU and other schools are going out of state for recruits. Coaches should take who they feel are the best athletes/players at their position period.
Safety my friend. Another 4.5 athlete in the secondary. The Cajuns are looking for more speed on defense; Sowels and Jackson gives them two legit 4.4 guys that run track. We get two guys that played safety in Buchanan and Beniot with 4.6 speed at linebacker. Dean is a 4.8 kid at NT and Glazer is a 4.9 at DT. We need speed on defense and that is a good start.
Now if we add Ambrose and Johnson to the offense this would be a very fast class and one I think would be one of the best we ever signed. We should no forget the O-lineman that runs under 5 flat.
Still there may be a natural attraction to going to where Anderson goes.
Even with a different person making phone calls, I can see where there might be some of that new suitor infatuation going on here, a new door suddenly opening up and all.
I also see the frailties of coming on to a kid in his senior year, he looks close at the program (for the 1st time) and assumes Anderson is responsible for UL's incredible success with the O-Line play when nothing could be farther from the truth.
