I don't think HUD was trying to hang 70 on them. As a matter of fact I think he could of put up a lot more if he chose to do so.

Broadway threw the ball 13 times...he was pulled in the 3rd quarter. We saw our 3rd string qb, Adam savioe caught a pass. Our starting RB had 2 carries...I don't know how you could try any harder to not run up the score except kneeling every play after the 1st quarter.

If he had played starters in the 2nd half, he could have put 100 on them. I am glad he cleared the bench...

Now on to Akron, I am deathly scared of Akron. (or is skeered?)

    Post from the Akron board.

"This is a very winnable game IMO. I said in another thread that, If you read their boards, they think that they are King Kong. Too bad it is the Sun Belt.

After the Michigan game, there should be no reason that this should be an easy win.

Yes I know that they scored 70 on Nicholls St. However they beat an apparently bad Western team.

Louisiana-Lafayette, or ULL, or U-La-La if you prefer, is pounding their chest at the moment, so this will be the deciding game for this season."

I told Lil T-Joe in the pre game walk to get ready because this could be his chance--so glad to see him and I think Billy Christian along with I guess a few others get some plays on the field!!!

Exactly! We weren't even trying to and we put 70 on them.

That ratio and the first two games are more intriguing.

The players were trying, so I hang my hat on depth. More than in recent memory.

Excellent point! We weren't even trying to score with our second string in and still managed to do so. We have more depth than perhaps ever before.

We put up more points than Oregon, same margin of victory...63 points.

Poster is a dope on the Akron board....That loss to Miiiichigan was a "Coulda, woulda, shoulda" loss and those stay with a team for a good long time.
In general, I don't think teams from the MAC have the overall athleticism that teams like UL (from the south) have. Larger? Maybe.....What's been the overall success of MAC teams against southern based teams this year? Other than Kent State getting slapped all over Tiger Stadium, what have the other teams done? Miiiichigan isn't Michigan either this year, at least I've heard....To commemorate this game, I think I'll spring for a bag of Zapp's as the Cajuns kick ___ on the Zip's.
