For Baldwin it never really got to that point. Nelson was interviewing Mike Leach when he was called back.

I must say that we have a much better list of candidates this time around. Along with better facilities, cup board better stocked with athletes, and more money to hire quality assistants. This is a very important hire. I wish we could look into a crystal ball and see what the future would hold with each hire.

I will go on record tonight and say I think it is almost a 0% chance of happening but if I were AD I would hire Ed Orgeron as HC to put us on the map, bring some fire to the program, and he can recruit like no other. I also would bring Matt Viator as the OC and Associate HC with the intentions of promoting him to HC when Orgeron moves on!

With that said I am betting on Hudspeth getting the job.
