Outfielder J.D. Martinez, who missed 44 games while on the disabled list with a left wrist sprain since July 27, was activated from the disabled list Friday for the start of a three-game series against the Angels. “I’m shooting for being able to get into a couple of games before I get out of here,” he said. “I’m looking around right now, looking for (winter ball) teams. I’m definitely looking for getting some at-bats. I missed a lot of at-bats, both from competing for a job and both times I got hurt this year.”
