Now, what is the really nice building with all of this state of the art training equipment in it?

    A football training center?

And this really big thing with the field turf inside it?

    An indoor facility?

An indoor facility, right. So, Mr. Cajun fan, you would positively agree that UConn has a New Stadium, a state of the art world class training facility, and a new indoor practice facility, but you don't think that that it has helped in any way with building a program, it's all about coaching.

The difference is in the investment. UConn has done more building and investing in the future of their program in a shorter period of time. Their state of the art stadium was completed 4 years ago along with the $40 million training facility and indoor facility that has been in place for almost 2 years now...so I guess the clock starts when UL has invested the same, four years from then...I feel like Vinny Gambini, feel free to practice up below...

Hey, Mr. Crane, what are these pictures of?

    My house and stuff.

Your house and stuff. And what is this brown stuff on the windows?

    Dirt.

Dirt? What is this rusty, dusty, dirty-looking thing over your window?

    It's a screen.

A screen? It's a screen. And what are these big things right in the middle of your view, from the middle of your window to the Sack O' Suds? What do we call these big things?

    Trees?

Trees, that's right. Don't be afraid. Just shout 'em right out when you know 'em.

Now, what are these thousands of little things that are on trees?

    Leaves?

And these bushy things between the trees?

    Bushes?

Bushes, right. So, Mr. Crane, you could positively identify the defendants for a moment of two seconds looking through this dirty window, this crud-covered screen, these trees with all these leaves on them, and I don't know how many bushes.

    Looks like five.

Ah ah, don't forget this one and this one.

    Seven bushes.

So, what do you think? Do you think it's possible you just saw two guys in a green convertible, and not necessarily these two particular guys?

    I suppose.

Gambini: I'm finished with this guy. _
Thats good stuff thank you lol So these 2 youts lol Great Movie :-)

According to what I've been hearing each week at the QB club we have a lot of yutes on the team. And yutes is why we ain't winning.

Sorry to say this but I totally disagree with the Yutes thing. In another thread, first year coaches are winning and you know they changed their OC and DC. It is all about coaching and teaching the player where they need to be and when they need to be there.

Just playing devil's advoicate but what happens when the coaches teach the player "where they need to be and when they need to be there" and the kid, for whatever reason, either (a) doesn't get there or (b) doesn't get there in time?

Being in the right place in the right time is as much coaching as it is instinct. The game moves pretty fast, if you have to stop and think, "I should be here or there" you are already too late.

    I'd like the stadium addressed.

Has any work been done to the baseball stadium?

At what point do you have to say "I'm going to play the best scheme possible given the athletes I have" vice saying "we're going to run my scheme no matter what!". It seems we have run the best scheme for our offensive personnel; but not necessarily so with the defense. So are we just "paying the price" now for our defensive scheme hoping the players learn it better with 1 year of experience and the upcoming spring season to get even better? And, will we effectively recruit players to play this scheme? Not a coach, or even that smart; but seems like valid questions to me.

No work has been done to the baseball stadium as yet. Last word was that the locker room refurb was the first priority.

Don't you think it's pretty pathetic that our football program is now so much disarray, we are being asked to consider the feelings of PARENTS of players when discussing issues related to the team?

This is a very, very sad day for our program.

Rather then worry about formations, positions, recruits, now we're concerned with feelings of people not even going out on the field? I'd be more understanable to be concerned with the feelings of the training staff than that of parents.

Do they plan on having the baseball stadium complete by the end of the season. I'd hate to lose another regional...

I don't think it's possible. You could probably do something with the lights, but there's not enough time to do anything with the grandstand, press box, or outfield.

If we win the conference outright AND win the tournament there really shouldn't be any reason why we couldn't host.

But I do fear being a travelling #1 seed.

There have been some NCAA stipulations placed on stadiums to qualify for hosting regionals. From some discussions I remember (don't hold me to this, and BOP might have better memories) it being mentioned lighting and press box faclities wouldn't pass muster, with lighting being the major issue. There were some stipulations about temporary lighting could suffice, but they were expecting hard & fast rules about it for this years regionals. It would be a concern at this point whether the stadium could host for 2008. I'll try to get some additional info and post it.
