Thread: 2007 What time should UL sporting events start?

I always liked the 7 PM starts (they started at 7:30 when I was in school) but have liked the 6 PM starts this football season. I wonder how that would work for weeknight basketball. Is that too early for some regular attendees?

It should be noted that last year when we started at 4 PM the home schedule was back loaded toward the end of the season and the weather was cooler. This season it was front loaded and have showed up to just about every game in shorts so I'm glad they start at 6 instead of 4.

I like this poll. Last year a lot of us complained about the 4pm start and there were quite a few people on here that bashed us for complaining about the start time.

I haven't noticed anyone complaining about the 6pm start time. It's a great compromise for those who think 7pm is too late. Just being at the homecoming game this weekend at 4pm the sun was bearing down on the student side and it wasn't the best feeling in the world.

I always loved football at night. It's cool to mix in a different start time. I'd like a 8 pm game mixed in there late in the season, but that is just me.

Anyway.. attendance was doing well at the beginning of the season. Last 2 games was just down right horrible.

Football @ 6 is great. 7 wouldn't be bad, but I'm not complaining about 6.

Weekday basketball games need to be at 7 for those who need to get home first or who need to get off of work and get their kids from the daycare or whatever. Keep it easy on the fans. If they have to rush, they'll make fewer games.

Afternoon baseball games are nice about halfway through april. Should be changed to saturday night games after that. Would be much cooler. Can't do much about sunday start times.

I like 6pm for all events. especially baseball and basketball. No danger of me going home and geting comfortable.

Exception! Yesterday I would have let the left hand know what the right hand is doing and start baseball at 4pm and basketball at 7pm

If we had done that, we might know the game 4 Fall Ball World Series score by now.
