How Many Will Attend Next Game?

CRM...As I understand it, you are the mother of a current or former player, and it is with that in mind that I say this with all due respect.

we are not at liberty to question how each of us deals with this situation. I am not directing most of this at you, but at several folks on this board. Some will say, like you have, that if you are overly critical of the situation, then you are not a true fan. Others will say (i.e. I Hate La State) that if you aren't critical enough, then you are not a true fan. Both arguments are short sided because each of us have different personalities and different involvements with the program. I would suspect that someone like you, or MissingMandy, GBBaseball, or other parent's of players, would sympathize with the players more than others, because they work hard and go through a lot of hell in order to wear that name on their jersey's. then there are guys around here that are older...they've been through a lot with this program, and have somewhat desensitized themselves to all the bad times, but are still able to stay hopeful in that their loyalty will pay off one day. Some of those are still preaching the positives, some are getting restless. then you have the younger guys. Guys like me and SRevere51 (we went to high school together, trust me, he is a fan and meant nothing derogatory to the players by starting this thread). We don't have a child on the team, so we might not care about the stuff they go through on a daily basis. and, we are young enough and progressive enough to desire much more from a program with so much potential. We didn't experience the Death Penalty. We didn't experience all the crap from authement and Shexnayder. Perhaps we don't know any better. Perhaps we are naive. But, we are confident that by speaking out and making our voices and our discontent heard, that we will influence a change.

there are some of us in each of these groups of fans that have dealt with this situation both calmly and hastily. But the common denominator is that we are all fans. We all want the answer. We all want the guys to get their recognition, but we also all want wins. Some of us are more concerned that the players know that they are supported and will continue to attend the games. On the other hand, some of us would rather boycott the games in hopes that improvements are made.

Again, CRM, this is not directed exclusively at you, so I hope that I don't offend you, but its directed at everyone. there's no need for us to take runs at each other questioning each others commitment to this football team. We all have our opinions and feelings.

BUT, I WILL ASK THAT IF YOU ARE GOING TO COME ON THIS BOARD AND SAY THE COACH SHOULD BE FIRED, THEN PLACE A CALL TO THE POWERS THAT BE (AUTHEMENT, WALKER, FARMER, BUSTLE), AND IF YOU FEEL THAT THE COACH SHOULD BE GIVEN ANOTHER CHANCE, THE PLACE A CALL TO THE POWERS THAT BE (AUTHEMENT, WALKER, FARMER, BUSTLE).

As rhineaux has stated, we did go to school together, and we know each other pretty well. usually we are the last ones in the stands looking for an answer. I have not missed a home game in just under 8 years, I have traveled to many away games as well.

Just so you know, I usually buy extra tickets to each and every home game so that we have more paid attendance. No matter what anyone says, this was an embarrasment to this university how we were manhandled last week. It may be to be destroyed by a major program, but a team like ASU no matter how good they are, we should at least compete. The poll is out to strike up opinions of different fans and hopefully we can all take a stand and demand more for our school. Like Rhineaux, I have e-mailed my opinions of the coaching staff and how our university and our community deserves more.

I will agree with you in the fact that negative comments are not what the team needs. However, no matter what people on this board may say there is nothing more negative then for homecomming then having few fans show up.

I will be in the stands like everyother week, with the same attitude, I still believe.

I'll have you know that I fired Baldwin 27 times, and even burned an effigy of him knowing full well that would do him in... didn't do it. It wasn't until I told the Admin that I would not purchase one more tasty snack from the concession stand, nor tap my toe to one more rendition of "RESPECT". They caved to my pressure and canned him the next week. Action son... action.

I haven't purchased food at the stadium in many years, not since we started puchasing a tailgate spot for Alumni Band. I'll still get a drink occasionally, when I think I can get one without having to wait 30 minutes for it!!
