Hawkins, While deadly at the plate, hasn't had that much experiance in college behind it. With how much emphasis robe puts on being able to call a quality game, youll look for either Lefleur to take over, or the freshman Thad Griffen to take over with Hawkins manning is ussual DH spot.

Hawkins has a "Major League" stick. I'm sure that he's got his eye on getting into the Majors, but does anyone really get there as a DH?? If not catcher, where else can he play on the field???

If I had to guess He'll prlly be moved to first or third, just looks like the body type to me.

Hawk has had a shoulder problem i believe which kept him from doing anything behind the plate. He is pretty athletic, i could see him playing a little corner OF

Alright, thanks for letten me know. Regardless of what position he is listed as, hes gonna get drafted...its impossible to have a bat like that and not get drafted. We'll let a scout determine where to put him.

Thad Griffen is more than likely going to be starting at catcher. And as for Justin, he had a hot bat early last season but couldn't do much more than strike out for the 2nd half of the year.

Like Robichaux does almost every season, I would look for him to experiment with the lineup early in the season. I think the catch position will be a race between Dillon Guilory & Thad Giffen.

Last year Dillon red shirted but he traveled with the team many times. If Lucroy would have went down, he could have been our go to guy.

Thad Giffen passed up a pro contract to play at UL. From what I have been told, he was being contacted by the pros as early as the 7th round. He is the real deal.

I expect Scott Hawkins to get some early playing time in the OF. If all goes well, he could be a fixture there.

Only time will tell. This is going to be an exciting season!

What about Lefleur, will he not get a shot behind the plate?

I am sure Lefleur will get a shot but I do not think he has the ability that Guilory & Griffen have. Lefleur is a great leader and a team player. I do not see him much more than a role player on the team.

Griffin will start behind the plate. He's very good defensively, maybe as good as Lucroy.

Hawkins will work at first base, as will Harst. Hawkins shoulder won't allow him to play the outfield, I don't think.

Robe will probably play in the field less. He'll be one of the go-to guys in the pen.
