The Cajuns didn't offer Bannister until Morel decided he was going to stick with his commitment to Northwestern State. Bannister was the next guy on the list to offer. That's why they came on visits on different weekends. Bannister was still being recruited, but had not been offered when Morel visited. In the end, we probably got a better QB in Bannister, because it seemed like Morel was afraid of the competition with Babb and Devin Williams. Morel might have also felt a little under appreciated since Devin Williams had just committed when he visited.Originally posted by CAJUNGURU
SwampFox,didn't that spaghetti sauce guy mention something about the Cajuns not offering Bannister?Guru does have a good source in New Orleans.
You're thinking of the Ferguson kid. He hurt his ankle the first couple weeks of the season and everyone kinda fell off him. We're really lucky that he got hurt, because the guy that plays next to him is going to Oklahoma. That would have drawn a lot more attention from bigger schools and we probably couldn't have got him if he didn't get hurt.Originally posted by Zeebart21
Ragoo, kind of chicken ______ about Clark, wouldn't you say?
Weren't we onto this kid when he was injured, followed him thru till' the very end?
Of the kids we have lost, this one kind of sucks.
THE GRASS IS ALWAYS GREENER.

Clark is an athletic kid that has a lot of potential. He's not an imposing physical specimen, but he's got a lot of athleticism for a guy his size. He's not the toughest guy in the world, but he moves well. He was probably the most athletic high school OL we had committed. His family seemed to really like UL and the coaching staff. We'll have to see on signing day if he changes his mind. We'd still love to have him, so let's not get too upset with the kid until after Wednesday. If it turns out that he screwed us and signs with USM, then that would be pretty bad because it would put us in a bind to sign another OL.
I'm there every year. Even when it's pathetic enough to hold it in the S-Club room. Those days are long gone, my man!Originally posted by the big ragoo
Who's going to the recruiting bash?
In just a little over 15 hours from now, the commitment papers will be coming in to the football office on Reinhardt Dr. To all those who will sign with the Cajuns tomorrow, WELCOME!!! We look forward to seeing you guys play for a program on the rise. Here is to an amazing day tomorrow! GOOOO CAJUNS!!!
I can't wait to find out who we sign!! Unfortunately, I get to stay home(in Metairie) and wait to find out from someone on this board who gets signed tomorrow night. Best of luck to all our future CAJUNS!!!!
Redbug will be there with wife "Ladybug". Several others I know are going also. Better have lots of food and brewskis
We might have to move this thing to the Cajundome
Redbug wants to meet many people posting on this board tomorrow at Cajun Signing Day. Redbug is now talking like Redbug's new idle "Ragoo". Redbug likes the way Ragoo talk....sounds like Tonto. Redbug like Tonto. Redbug want to meet many new Cajun friends tomorrow. Redbug very excited!!!
We might have a couple surprises tomorrow, hopefully good ones and not bad. At best, look for 2 more commitments/signees tomorrow that we haven't seen on the radar screen lately. At worst, the big ragoo guesses that we would only lose 2 from what we've got committed so far.
Hey you boys (and girls) better be posting any updates tomorrow on what goes down at the bash! Some of us won't be able to make it. Hopefully the Cajun's will retain all of their current commits and add a few big surprises tomorrow!!
