Barksdale to get first start at LB

Former safety Tig Barksdale will get his first start of the season at linebacker when UL visits Kansas State on Saturday night, Ragin' Cajuns coach Mark Hudspeth said after practice Thursday.

Hudspeth said Barksdale, a junior, will start at the "Will" linebacker spot in which senior Andrew Hebert started for UL in its 34-14 loss last Saturday at Arkansas.
