I hope it's a tale of two halfs.
I hope it's a tale of two halfs.
Defense has to get better.
Offense looks good
Broadway needs to settle down, a couple more accurate throws and we have at least another td
Defense cannot stop the Razorbacks.
I had a bad feeling when we called the timeout on 3rd down.
We have two issues... a QB that is spot on today... and we are not pressuring him one bit. You cannot simply look at the secondary... against an SEC talent opponent... and watch what happens downfield. There shouldn't be an easy downfield circumstance on every play. We haven't had a DL do a thing. We haven't had a pass rush that did anything. You cannot jump all over DBs about that. Is it common? You bet. But... when a QB is allowed to toss a dart with no one in his face... a DB has no advantage.
Cajuns get the ball to start the second half. We need to go down and score, then we are right back in it!
HUD: "We're stopping what they do, but we're not stopping what they don't do."
I don't like the score but this is why football is a cerebral sport.
PS Hud was referring to the UL's secondary and Arkansas's normal tendency.
Coach said he has to find some new guys in the secondary during halftime. What could he do?
Lot of young guys in D. Scared we won't be a good D for awhile.
20-7. The game is certainly not out of reach. If we can put 7 when we get the ball next things will get interesting.
The Bad:
Defense allowing Ark to dictate either running or passing. No pressure on the QB. Allowing too much on 1st down.
Offense started great, 2 drives looked really good. Then Broadway has gotten out of sync, his throwing is way off. He needs to settle down and look for the open receiver.
The Good:
We are still in this game, a long way to go. The offense can move the ball on Ark.
The Defense has stiffened against the run. That's about it. Need the Def to come out better in the second half.
The Good: Zo Harris and the offensive line have been outstanding.
The bad: tackling and Broadway passing the ball. Missed a sure TD with Maxwell over the middle.
The Ugly: Everything on the defensive side. Gameplan is horrible. Playing scared and on our heels. Secondary is awful. How Sean Thomas is a starter I'll never know. Makes me scared to know what's behind him. No idea why we're not sending LBs more often. As a whole, defense looks slow and out of place. Arkansas has no respect for our D Line.
