Other than Stevie P and Mr. Bitter, the rest of the "sports announcers" should be canned. The only reason I listen is to get information on the Cajuns. _
Try not listening for a while. I think you'll find that you get just as much information from other sources. It will also sharpen your independent thinking skills.

I do try and catch Mr. Bitter on Saturday morning while I'm getting ready for tailgating. That's just so I can see how many times he'll repeat himself. It's quite fun.

Come see us Saturday at the big Oak tree across from the Old Luthers BBQ.

    Hey Z,

A little birdie tells me that on the right cycle of the moon, if all of the planets are aligned juuuust right, an ice cold libation might be found under that big oak tree. He sent me an e-mail saying so...it must be true....but being the kind of guy who seeks the truth, I may just have to make my way down there to see for myself. I'm not sure of the time as my wife is 14 months pregnant and her ability to tailgate is more limited than usual...however, she is drinking for two.

See you Sat. under the old oak tree!

And why were they dragging out this stupid argument when baseball , nfl and college football(a weekend full of upsets no less!) are in full swing and the nba season is around the corner . And the thing about Tiger not being the best ..pshaw ...there were so many holes in his argument , it wasn't even funny . If you are going to be a blowhard , at least be interesting ..like Cowherd . I disagree with almost everything Cowherd says but he keeps me tuning in because his show is always entertaining . The same cannot be said about anyone on 1420 except for Mr Bitter . _

The Herd is the best show on espn.

He talks faster than he can think so he has to repeat himself. I make note of his "fine sponsors" so I know who not to patronize. Also, his use, or sholud I say abuse, of the English language is absolutely atrocious.

Weekend mornings on ESPN1420 is amateur hour, worse than AOC. Although at times can be quite entertaining.

I've got to jump in on this discussion just a bit... When Bitter first started and insisted on the University of Louisiana at Lafayette thing he irritated me.... Seemd just another LSUA&M@BR lackey on the radio.... But his weekly calls with Coach Robe are insightful and the guy seems to have some real opinions on both "fine" institutions of higher learning.. When unfortuantely that home of the $3 million tiger cage is playing well as they are now, he is enthusiatic... But when they are not he is critical.. His criticism of the University that I love recently... have been on target.... Better than the Bird in the evening and the wannabe on weekday mornings who are nothing more than mouth pieces for UL.... It hurts... but he is right

As for his speach patterns... after awhile it is amusing....

Now for a word from our "fine sponsors"...lol

You have to say it twice to be really effective.
