Strange they didn't mention the new coach as well. Welcome to Lisa Norris (UNC) in the other assistant coaching position to go along with T. J. Hubbard (Associate Head Coach) & Lana Bower (Director of Softball Operations).

Do you think both transfers will work into the starting line up? We'll need a solid replacement for Draheim.

This is the former NPF player and GaTech pitching coach?

She is still involved with the National Team from what I've been told. Elkins enrolled at Texas Tech early, so she is ahead on her progress towards her degree.

Her experience against Big 12 competition will help put Elkins ahead of McDowell & Cifreo. Much will be determined by which one hits better in the fall. Kreamer has a major uphill battle competing for a starting job with as many infielders as there are on the roster. Her hitting stats are virtually nonexistent, so she will have to pick up Mike's hitting instructions quickly if she wants to see the lineup.

What is her involvement with the national team. I don't see her listed as a coach/player.

Sounds like some good pick ups all the way around. I didn't know about the UNC coach. What's the story on her coming to Louisiana?

Lisa graduated from UNC in 2010, coached at Texas A & M-Corpus Christi in 2010-2011, North Carolina State in 2011-2012 & Georgia Tech in 2012-2013. She has played with the Akron Racers from 2010 to present. There's a new coaching staff at Georgia Tech and I guess she was not in the new coach's plans.

Lots of new names, some transfers, some redshirts, and some with playing time experience, WILL be a battle! Loteif will have them trained up and compete to make this team even better. World Series here we come, boom!
