Good move, often wondered about the split access. It was suggested here on RP that they dump it 12 years ago.

Nice Step for the school. I know Aaron pretty well from our college days and he is 100% a Cajun alum and will do whatever it takes to move the school forward. I am sure this looks and is a small step in many people's eyes, but these are the small steps we have to take to get us where we want to be. We must continue to make steps forward like this to move away from the ULL moniker.

Thanks for posting. I stumbled across that when looking at the UL main website. Another important step in our recognition.

The University of Louisiana is disconnecting one of its web domains at the end of this week: ull.edu. Of course, the University is retaining Louisiana.edu, its official domain

I'm a firm believer in obtaining all the domain names you need/want to keep out of others access/want/etc. Any domains we have should all just redirect to louisiana.edu! Even the ull.edu

I think they're keeping the rights of the domain, but not redirecting from ull.edu. Having new students type in louisiana.edu is a necessary step in reaffirming our identity moving forward.

And if you see someone with a darn ULL plate on their vehicle ask them to take it off and hand them a replacement UL or Louisiana or Ragin Cajun plate!
