INDEats is pouring up a twist on Dish of the Day — today, we are featuring wine pairings from Philippe’s Wine Cellar. The 2011 Dona Paula Torrontes Estate and the 2011 Sottano Malbec are perfect combinations for completing an evening at home with a dinner for two — maybe even take out from an EatLafayette participating restaurant.

The Dona Paula Torrontes Estate is dry white table wine from Argentina that blends well with flavors of fish or cream sauce dishes. It’s crisp with hints of mango, pineapple and peach.
The Sottano Malbec is also from Argentina and spends 8 months in a French and American Oak barrel. The notes are spice, tobacco, leather and cherry. Philippe recommends pairing this red wine with grilled meat for the best experience of flavors.
If these wines pique your palate or you’re looking for another , stop by Philippe’s for a vast selection of wine, beer, and spirits—the knowledge of the staff can help a novice an expert wine enthusiasts alike in selection.
