Catcher Jason Castro was named the American League Player of the Week on Monday, becoming the first Astros player since Lance Berkman to earn such a distinction twice in one season. Berkman was the National League Player of the Week twice in 2008. Castro picked up his second AL honor after hitting .529 (9-for-17) with three home runs, a triple, two doubles and five RBIs from Aug. 19-25.
