Arkansas playing a ton of Junior's and Senior's on Defense. Only two sophomores. Defense has SEC experience. We shall see.

Going out on a limb here, but this Hog defense pales to the Gators of last year. Cajuns score early, and often. Big question Cajun defense & kicking. I think we will bride the gap.

You're definitely going out on a limb, CajunEXPRESS. We actually did not lose much experience on the defensive side from last year. Both sides of the Hogs team showed remarkable improvement over this off season (Thank GOD!), but the bigger questions remain on the O-Line, especially with injuries to key starters. Hog coaches have also said that the OLine is vastly improved over last year's team.

Even with the trials and tribulations the entire team faced last year, we still managed to rank 5th or 6th in the SEC, Scoring-wise. Also should note that despite Tinnar's poor 5-7 showing last year, they were 22nd out of 124 teams in scoring averages... and now we have the guy responsible for that as our Offensive Coordinator.

Don't count on the Ragin' Cajuns coming in and having a field day. It will be a battle between two solid teams, and should be a very close game.

Optimism is running a bit high here, I do not see us beating the Hawgs. Our defense is no where near good enough to stop Arkansas. The piglets defense is good enough to slow us down.

Ulm beat them last year because Tyler Wilson got hurt, not because Browning played super human. They were down by 21 points when he went down. These guys will be better than that Florida team we faced last year on offense. Defensively not quite as good but salty none the less.

Damn---I just looked at some video of last year on the new CD---ASU killed us and now my butterflies are getting to the scary point---i am really hoping that this is not a "well we gave them a good game" game---but the video of their Spring Game has got me really worried with their size and athleticism!!!

I am hoping to see a lot of improvement in our new defense. It may not be enough to stop the Hawgs, but I really think Willis is the real deal and we may finally be on the way to having a solid defense.

We have one option really. Stack the box, make them throw it and try to force some turnovers. If we can't slow their run we won't win the game.

Willis coached under saban, muschamp and tubberville...if anyone understands the importance of stopping the run and how to do it, it's him. The coaches and players know what they have to do...they just have to go do it.

I have to agree here. While we have some nice players on Defense, the fact is we are very young and/or inexperienced at several positions. We also do not have a legit pass rusher, at least at this point and certainly not to the level of Bernard Smith or Emeka from last year. I also think about our schemes in recent years against bigger opponents and I wonder how much we are going to throw at Arkansas out there playing very base defense and lots of zone which only makes me cringe.
