Max Stassi, the Astros’ top catching prospect who made his major league debut Tuesday night, suffered a facial injury when he was hit by a pitch in the eighth inning Wednesday night at Rangers Ballpark. He has been sent to a local hospital for further examination. Playing in only his second major league game, Stassi was at the plate with the bases loaded and two outs when Rangers reliever Tanner Scheppers drilled him. Stassi turned away from the pitch, but the ball appeared to hit him in the shoulder before bouncing off his face.
