New Bowl Game for SBC Contenders

A new bowl game is coming to Montgomery, Ala., according to a report from Jon Solomon of al.com. The game, which will be played at the Cramton Bowl, will feature teams from the Sun Belt and Mid-American Conferences. The inaugural game will be played in 2014.

While it's nice we have another Bowl option, having it at a stadium that seats 25,000 is underwhelming.

I see no reason that after we get our stadium done that we don't bring back the OIL BOWL---Get an Oil Show two and I think that every body in the patch of the world would contribute for the positive feedback that could be gotten with Oil related TV ads!!!

No doubt.... Lafayette showed with the Top 28 how hospitable it can be, i think we'd be a good fit for a bowl game

That was what I thought as well. I wonder what the ticket allotment will be for the schools participating?

For those of you hoping we don't get sent to Montgomery, relax.

We will probably never play in that Bowl. This was created due to the new schools coming into the SBC being in that area.

Also, gives BOTH Troy and South Al a chance to play in Bowls at the same time.

This also increases the chances of us going to the NOLA bowl whenever we want.
