I just got a tweet from a sports guy saying that Granier wasnt comfortable playing for a team that allowed thugs to be rewarded.

Hmmm... Well they probably would have said the same thing about Craig Loston, or that cornerback from Eunice, neither of them contributed much early on. One starts now and the other is in the NFL.

Literally this. I asked a good friend of mine who just graduated LSU law in his professional opinion, did JH do anything wrong. He said no, and I proceeded to slam my face into a food processor

But probably good decision by him to go somewhere he can play and in the link he seems to really like the fit at UL. Good luck to him.
This happens a lot and it would really be beneficial if some of these athletes would realize this at an earlier stage, and commit to the Cajuns now, instead of getting buried on some depth chart at a really good named school.

With the depth and commits we have now at LB, high school kids will face that same decision here.

Every super successful program becomes a talent graveyard at certain positions at some point.

The question the HS athlete has to ask himself is this, where can I go to get enough exposure to get noticed by the NFL scouts.

You need two elements, playing time, and program exposure. UL has proven beyond doubt that you get enough exposure for NFL purposes. The only other question is can I hit the field to get myself noticed. My ego says yes.

So while you are right, the odds still favor the kid who picks UL.

I agree, was more or less trying to point out I don't ever remember us even being close to being in that position
