Miles told him he was behind quite a few on the depth chart and likely he wouldnt be playing for a couple years, so wanted to be released so that he could go somewhere that he would get playing time. It happens all the time at BCS program, LSU signed an outstanding class of LB's that year. It doesn't change the fact that he is an outstanding athlete, ranked on all 3 networks. LSU fans think no one is good enough to play there, even the recruits that decommit.

He was definately an outstanding prospect. When multiple players sign some will play some won't. In his case eventually he probably would have but who knows LSU signs 2 more studs this year and he still doesn't. But probably good decision by him to go somewhere he can play and in the link he seems to really like the fit at UL. Good luck to him.
