If you thought it was exciting listening to it, being there in person was excrutiatinlgy exciting. Not the best of venues for someone with a pacemaker. Free throws!! I moaned whenever we went to the line, and the Uneaux dimwit behind me was out of his mind with glee.
Hopefully, this is the last we shall see McCaleb play against us. What a player. He had a tough first half, but like all good players he made his presence known in the 2nd half.
The T-P said it was the best home crowd of the season. The Privateer fans were passionate in their support. Gotta give them credit for that. La'Ryan Gary's Mom was sitting next to us. She wasn't cutting the Privateer fans any slack. The atmosphere was almost as exciting as the game.
Then to top it all off as a great night, whom did I spy playing hooky from work? None other than the Z man. That was the icing on the cake of a good win. Ugly but good!!
What say you Z!!![]()
An I to assumr that the DA actually sent a reporter to cover the game???? Does this call for a "thank you", or "About time you got your act together" note????
No hooky, Charlie...after a 2 week hitch in Saban country it was time to come home. What a coincidence that the UNO game was on the way, huh???? LOL!! Great seeing you, meeting the boss lady, and even seeing the outlaw in tow....nice job!
How did you like that dude next to me in the UNO baseball jersey yelling "Remember Mobile!!!" LOL!!
A great night overall!
Z
Just kidding about playing hooky, Z. Upon your demise the Big Man upstairs will take into account your stay in Saban land. Probably will release you from any intermediate stops (read purgatory) and place you right up there with the rest of the saints.
Some of those Privateer fans are "works of art". I don't mean to be demeaning, but that homecoming presentation at half time could've used a bit more work.
Ah well, I should count my blessings. My diploma reads that I graduated from SLI. Thank the Lord!!
That was a stroke of luck meeting up with you. I seem to be getting luckier lately. Maybe I should try the Powerball this week!!![]()
When he drilled his first three shots from the floor Wednesday night against New Orleans, UL's Chris Gradnigo found something he had lost earlier this season.
His confidence.
By halftime, the freshman from Lake Charles had poured in 18 points on 6-of-9 shooting.
At the end of a thrilling 72-70 win, Gradnigo set a career high and led all scorers with 25 points. He made 9-of-14 shots - including 3-of-6 from 3-point range and 4-of-4 free throws - in 30 minutes.

UL — “You can’t ask for anything better.”
That’s the way Louisiana's men’s basketball coach Robert Lee summed the logistics for his team’s final Sun Belt Conference regular season games.
UL leads the West Division by a game over North Texas and Arkansas-Little Rock, teams the Cajuns play in addition to third-place Denver at the Cajundome between tonight and March 1.
The Cajuns, who host UALR starting at 7:05 p.m., have an advantageous path to a division title, Lee said.
UL completed the road-game portion of its schedule on Wednesday with a 72-70 victory at New Orleans.
“We’ve put ourselves in position to win the West at this point.
