Thread: McGuire throws curve into UL's RB depth chart

  1. Default McGuire throws curve into UL's RB depth chart

He raved about him after Saturday's preseason scrimmage, calling one of his runs 'unreal.' He called him, that same day, the 'most impressive' of UL's 2013 high school signees.

Anyone who saw this kid in person or watched video of him knows that he can be a special player for us....doesn't surprise me that he is already making waves

Yesterday afternoon there was a caller on 870AM who was talking about McGuire. They all agreed that he was one of the Top 3 high school players that they've ever seen in Louisiana HS Football. Spoke extremely highly of his athleticism, but said that all of the BCS schools were scared of his grade situation.

We got a steal. Without playing a down yet, this kid may end up being the best to wear the jersey by the end of 2016/2017!

It's just terrible having this kind of problem. So much talent and only one football. Sounds like it's time to run the triple reverse.

No doubt. He was our most talented back the day he set foot on campus. It's just a matter of him learning the offense now, and of course he needs to bring it every day in practice.

The first thing I think you have to do is decide whether or not to take the R-Shirt off and "Gear UP"-----HUD mentions about at times having talent that needs to be on the field a kid being too good of an athlete not to be playing and stuck behind somebody with just a little more talent----OK say he is too good not to go even as a Freshman ---but get Carter back to the slot and maybe even Reed----Go with Harris , McG, and Pierce----and of course you could have a package with Harris and another in the backfield and this leads to Nixon being an H back!!! Obviously the most skilled position talent in UL history at the WRs, TEs, RBs, and one great QB!!!! Too bad we don't have this situation at OL!!!

The guy went to Vandebilt. Having a C-average there is like making 3.3 at most high schools. Used to be anyway.
