The UL football team came out of spring practice with three bona fide backup quarterback candidates in red-shirt freshmen Texan Brooks Haack, Teurlings Catholic product D’Shaie Landor and Carencro High product Jalen Nixon.
Now the field of contenders to be No. 2 behind starter Terrance Broadway is down to two, Haack and Landor, head coach Mark Hudspeth hinted at Monday and confirmed after the second day or preseason no-pads training camp Tuesday.
