Nestled in Degaulle Square at River Ranch sits two culinary gems — Village Cafe' and POUR. Thursday’s Dish of the Day features INDEats' choice of multi-course offerings from these sister restaurants’ unique menus that make for a destination perfect for drinks and dinner.Starting at POUR, order a Ginger Flower cocktail (just $5 during Happy Hour from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. daily) and seared ahi tuna as an appetizer. The Asian-inspired drink is a mix of ginger liqueur, plum sake, Cointreau, Chambord, orange juice and lemon bitters. It’s refreshingly sweet and complements the fresh Gulf tuna plated with sesame glaze and crisp cucumbers.

After the cocktail hour is complete, order the sweet potato salad at Village Cafe' — a bed of arugula is topped with roasted sweet potato chunks and unsalted goat cheese and tossed with crispy pumpkin seeds and a dried cranberry vinaigrette. The salad starts at $10 with an option to add grilled protein for an additional charge.

These make for a treat after a run up and down Camellia Boulevard or post yoga class with friends — indulge in flavor without the guilt of a heavy meal. Mention EatLafayette at both locations for cocktail and wine specials.
