Federal prosecutors say a 21-year-old man has pleaded guilty for his role in the theft of cancer donations from a counter at a store on the Chitimacha Tribal Reservation.
U.S. Attorney Stephanie A. Finley says Kendrick T. Edmond, of Charenton, pleaded guilty before U.S. Magistrate Judge Patrick J. Hanna. Finley announced the plea Monday.
Authorities say Edmond admitted to entering the Chitimacha Trading Post on March 31 and removing cancer donations from the register counter. The donations had been provided to defray the medical expenses of a tribal member.
