In need of a double to collect the ninth cycle in Astros franchise history, center fielder Brandon Barnes paused briefly to say a prayer before heading to the plate in the eighth inning Friday night at Minute Maid Park. Then the Astros rookie ripped a double down the right field line, sliding into second base ahead of the tag to beat right fielder Michael Saunders’ throw to shortstop Brad Miller.
