Man I agree.. Nothing better than hitting the 8th inning with a 1 run lead knowing Danny is out there.... But with the new schedule of 5 games per week (2 mid week) I just wonder if we have the luxory of doing that? I think this team is loaded but as last year illustrated we need to host a regional which means the mid-weeks are very important

Just a question for BoP... I was at the game last night sitting behind the bench... I was watching the interaction between Solich and Griffin... There seemed to be just a bit of tension for want of a better word... Maybe it was just me... Anything to it?

Are we talkin bout practice?...Practice?...Practice. Moving to a new team is always an adjustment, especially moving up a level. Whether it is a college true freshman or a major leaguer. New pitcher, new catcher in a deciding game and nothing more. You are seeing adjustments.

Last discussion I heard was weekend starters of Farquar, Moody and Solich. Midweek games will be Glass & probably Zorich. You could also replace a midweek with Bulliard, Chapman, Haagan, Harmon, or Wagley/Broussard (not sure who's the closer). They have about six or eight freshman pitchers to get them ready for next year.

I can see Robichaux being our closer.

You are probably right. I just love the team and Thad looks awesome... The one thing this team always had however was a sense of comradre...dont want that to go away

I will give it a shot

Starting Pitching: Farquhar, Moody, Glass, Solich, and Wilbourn

Relief Pitching: Robichaux, Harmon, Broussard, Zorich, Wagley, Bulliard, and Haagen

Catcher: Griffen then Harst, Lefleur, and Guillory

1st Base: Robichaux then Hawkins, Harst, and Whipple

    2nd Base: Matt Hicks

    Shortstop: Long then Fontenot

    3rd Base: Derouen then Harst

    Center field: Logan then Miller

Right Field: Hatfield then Bowman and Whipple

    Left Field: Gisclair than Harst

DH: Hawkins then Harst and Whipple

This is 29 players I see making the team. Some may be trimmed off the roster most likely 2 pitchers, Guillory, and Miller when it comes to conference. I think there is a 25 man roster for conference though I may be wrong.

I have no inside information. I am just a fan who went to the intrasquad world series and watch them play. I also looked at the numbers at positions and who I think will be redshirted.

I don't think so. Matt Hicks will be starting because he has a solid glove and a good bat. Hicks can hit for power and has gained alot of experience over the last two years.

Now if third base becomes a question mark I can see Hicks at third which he played alot at last year and Fontenot at second, but Derouen and Harst should handle third base. We can't completly rule out Justin Robichaux at third. Lil Robe has a good glove and hits well.

I see Fontenot as a late inning defensive replacement for Long who shows he can struggle with the glove.

What do you think of Logan at 2nd and Hicks at 3rd?

In a game I watched Greg had the prettiest relay throw you will ever see. He has more arm than he is getting credit for and he swings a nice bat too.
