let him play for mcneese
Let the head coach decide what's best for the program.
He ain't a tug Z, and yes he was in some pretty strong circumstantial evidence he was a weed user, but the evidence of him robbing his pot selling drug dealing girl friend is a big stretch. In addition he has had a real clean sheet except for this event. In most jurisdictions this would never have gone to trial.
The guy had zero problems at Tulane, and was the projected POY on defense in CUSA last year. I am like Crazy, the coach is the one to vet this guy if he wants to play here, and I am happy with Hud's call regardless. This guy ain't Cecil the Diesel, so he ain't McBrokeBack material.
Once a punk, always a punk is my saying. Some of you guys are so desirous to keep the program a winner, you would be all for letting Bin Laden suit up if he could help the team.
Let the punks stay on the outside looking in. I think that Hud has enough integrity to make the right choice in this instance.
With his height and football IQ, I think he projects as a TE at the next level. Has a bit of a history of kidney problems, but still has the size and reach to be a gamechanger at the next level if he can put on some weight and keep it on. Ran a 4.6 40 at the combine in Islamabad and had a monster 35 inch vertical jump. Look for him to be a factor in the 2nd or 3rd round as the Patriots try to rebuild their TE corps with someone less tainted than Aaron Hernandez. - Mel Kiper Jr.
