ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The Astros are expected to sign Jose Altuve to a contract extension. Astros general manager Jeff Luhnow said in May the club was considering inking the 2012 All-Star reserve to a long-term deal. A message left Saturday for Luhnow wasn’t immediately returned. The announcement of Altuve’s extension could be made before the Astros’ 3:10 p.m. game Saturday against Tampa Bay at Tropicana Field.
