    I think that would be best for him. I don't think he's a catcher at the next level, but I do think he can be a power hitting outfielder. That would open the catching duties for Thurman, who I think can be a high level catcher.

    Agreed but not all 21 year olds are that rational but I would think he would do what's best for him and the team if that is in fact what's best.

    Absolutely sucks to see him go! He was always the 1 constant in the lineup this year.... didn't matter what the rest of the guys were doing, you knew Kjerstad was going to be swinging a hot bat. He will be sorely missed.

    Good luck to him at the next level. I have a good feeling we will see him in the Bigs in a few years.

    So if he gets the $75K he pays taxes of??? and keeps how much---I know there will be some averaging in of past years etc but that money will be gone pretty quickly!!!

    He will taxed at the bonus rate which is about 38%.
