    Via wikipedia.
"A normal school is a school created to train high school graduates to be teachers. Its purpose is to establish teaching standards or norms, hence its name. Most such schools are now called teachers' colleges."

The term "normal school" originated in the early 16th century from the French école normale.[3] The French concept of an "école normale" was to provide a model school with model classrooms to teach model teaching practices to its student teachers.[4] The children being taught, their teachers, and the teachers of the teachers were often together in the same building.[citation needed] Although a laboratory school, it was the official school for the children—primary or secondary.

    California Cajun,
Same here... I avoid anything with "at Lafayette" on it, but it's really hard to find quality UL or Louisiana sports apparel without it. Most of the time I just remove the Lafayette with a razor knife. I think I'm going to start a thread for folks to write down names of shops and links to websites where there is a decent selection of non "at-Lafayette" appear.

Despite the excessive use of the city tag, the La Louisiane magazine is worth reading. Recently, a couple of students who are friends of my daughter had some of their accomplishments recognized in the magazine.

I wonder if the editors are aware that the use of the city tag actually causes people to not read the magazine. They may be aware of it but feel that they are forced to the policy due to our detractors watching here over them. Still, if anyone has access to the editors, they should be made aware of this concern.

The writers at La Louisiane must be afraid lf their shadow.

They recently did a B.I. Moody School of Business story for Louisiana.edu and never mentioned UL in any way shape or form except to say "University."

Now granted, every single person who reads the story will know what University they are talking about, but still....

Good luck with that... "Louisiana" gear is as rare online as football fans in ULM's stadium.

The shame is that there is a good amount of Louisiana Ragin Cajun gear at the bookstore but their online system is awful.

The Bookstore website is an embarrassment for our university, not to mention the potential huge amount of on-line sales that are lost.

There is actually a secret website with tons of great gear, just because you can't find it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
