Some key Astros prospects continue to make progress in the minor leagues. When the 2013 season started, the Astros were willing to keep center fielder George Springer at Class AA Corpus Christi for almost all of the year, with a possibility for a late promotion to Class AAA Oklahoma City. Springer has already accelerated his schedule. Entering Monday, the 23-year-old was hitting .378 with four home runs, 10 RBIs and four stolen bases during 11 games with the AAA RedHawks.
