Thread: A Gold Medal Performance For Payton

I watched practice yesterday and I am impressed with the way Payton helps the other players on the court. He is always playing hard and leading by example. When coach stops a play to show one player something, Payton is coaching another player away from the stoppage.

Last year North Texas forward Tony Mitchell was the Basketball Times cover boy for the same preseason issue. I did write that story.

Basketball Times is a print-only edition (no web), so if you want a copy go here: http://www.basketballtimes.com/Subscription.aspx. Mr. Aker's contact info is at the bottom of this link: http://www.basketballtimes.com/about...all-times.aspx
Josh, are these sold on newstands anywhere in the Houston area? I would like to purchase this one first to check it out then perhaps subscribe. Any way I could do this?

The contributors are listed on one of the contents page near the front of the book (instead of listing them on every team/conference page). I'll have to look at it again to see who wrote that one.

Unfortunately, no. Basketball Times has an old-school approach and only sells via the website as the operation is based out of North Carolina. I'd contact the editor and publisher John Akers to see what options you'd have. http://www.basketballtimes.com/about...all-times.aspx
