My only amendment to that scenario would be if it would present the opportunity to play a BCS program and I don't mean a 6-6 Iowa State team.
Let's hope it doesn't come down to Shreveport. I really wouldn't want to go there. I would prefer Mobile, Houston, Tampa or Dallas etc.... I love those pictures of the ULM fans from last year. I didn't realize the woods were still that deep and thick up there.

In the end it comes down to what we can get. If it's Shreveport that is our best option, I'd highly encourage all UL fans to pack the place and clearly show all in North Louisiana that it's not all about where or who you play. Proudly show up and enjoy the moment......Let Tech maintain the 'worlds largest dumbass award' all to themselves.

Im getting the impression that our folks only want to show up in a place that's comfortable. If we are fortunate enough to get a better bowl/payout and don't show up then we are no better than Tech or ULM.

Wherever it is our fans need to show up in force.

That is going to remain a huge question Zee for the Cajun program for the near future. Cajun fans have had a great time in New Orleans the past two years, especially on the winning side of field. But most college football fans see traveling 160 miles for a bowl like playing in your on backyard.

We were not let in cause we had our own scotch and werent about to dump it out. We set up shop on a wooden bench at the corner of Magazing and Canal, center of the street next to the tracks, smoking stogies and talking to various Cajun fans that happened upon us at the stoplight of said corner.
Just 1 more and UL Grad@Hou happened upon us, and we spent a few minutes laughing, dickin' around and telling each other how ____ing great we were.
Now I had a hip replacement back in March, not because I am old, but because I wanted to be able to show everyone this cool ____ing scar I have. The pain and rehab were worth it because this scar on my left hip is the most bad ___ thing you have ever seen.
Now, I did not have my sax at that time, but J 1M is hoping that I bring it this year. My boy Hammer has a concealed carry permit so I sure as hell aint worried about anyone stealing any money thrown by passersby into my velvet lined sax case.
J1M, lives in a thong. No explanation needed. When he gets excited, it comes off. I have never had the pleasure of seeing the unfurling of the crooked monkey, but those that have say its a one for the ages.
Finally, George Michael is a huge, disgusting, tool... But "careless whisper" is a panty dropper, that sax opening is a moisture maker.
As for Boomer, my motto, his motto, any key, anywhere.

    Hope this clears things up.

No matter where we go besides New Orleans it will be seen as a let down by some. We will not bring 40k anywhere but New Orleans. However, 20k+ in Shreveport,Houston or mobile would still be impressive. I think we would have 20k+ at any of those locations .

I'm thinking more along the lines of 35K at Houston or Mobile. Mobile is just a short two hour drive for the alumni in NOLA.

We have 40K fans of the New Orleans bowl.
Juding by average attendance. We have between 25K-30K fans of Cajun homes games.
We have about 50-75K fans of tailgating at UL home games.
We have between 1-2K fans of traveling for regular season road games.

If we brought 20K to the Independence Bowl playing anyone except a BCS team, it would be a miracle IMO.

NOLA bowl is on a Saturday, in New Orleans, in an indoor stadium when people are coming home for the holidays.

Independence Bowl is in Shreveport, outside, after Christmas.

I also don't think we get more than 20K in Mobile, because the game is after the holidays are over. Houston may have a shot at more than 20K.

If your prediction is correct then we need to shut the ____ up about our great fan base. It's time for Cajun fans to back up our talk and walk the walk.

I don't think that is unique to us. I think it is the nature of the game. Fans are not going to pay and travel to bowl games that are unappealing just to watch football.

Ask Florida or Virginia Tech fans. And, no one would question their fanbases.
