There was a picture on here showing some student walking on it. It looked like mid to late 60s, but I could be off. I remember it because I was surprised I had never heard of it before. I tried to locate it, but couldn't. Mentioned it to my mom, who was a '61 grad and said she remembered i
Yes, you are correct: I had posted a pic quite a while back that shows the path, but I had not been able to find it. Thanks to the ever intrepid Mr. Turbine, he located it for me (it was the Student Union thread).
Not sure of the date but it is very mid-60's. Notice the 'new' Guillory Hall in the background, and for orientation of where the path was.
Anyway, here it is...and I have to say it is a favorite pic of mine.
(I'm also including the link to the original post, so that you read the entries from some of the guys who good memories of this.)

I still think an elevated walkway thru the swamp or a gazebo like structure in the middle with four paths from the four side meeting there would be awesome as well.
Well, I think one path would be nice, but more than one would be way too much. And it remains to be seen how they will handle the Guillory Hall overlook.....if it goes, wonder would go up in its place? And where?
And as for the elevated walkway, I thi what ou had in mind? Its what will be going up in the new city park
Champs
----3rd row 2nd from left---got judges, sheriffs, coaches, salesmen, Oil Field, Air Force Brass, political dudes, and more---We played about 22 and we would run some in----Other sports had integrated and FB came about a year or so later---I was a junior and so happy to be winning again!!!
We were using "Ragin Cajuns" back then? I see it on the stadium in the background. I thought that only started later on. Maybe, I'm thinking of when "The Swamp" started in the late 80s.
