A St. Martin Parish family continues to search for their loved one who went missing early Wednesday morning. 76-year-old Forrest Collette of Butte Larose was discovered missing around 4:30am.
Collette's wife, Katherine, noticed he wasn't in bed, and all the doors to the house were locked. "I don't think he would leave me after 57 years," says Collette.
Forrest Collette just underwent hip replacement eight days ago, and family members say the medicine he was taking may have caused him to become disoriented.
Katherine Collette says she took her husband off his pain medications because he started seeing things that weren't there. "I think that him taking the medicine he was taking made him hallucinate," says Collette.
