    There is no Rosenblatt

OK, that's not 100% true. There is a mini Rosenblatt now. Plenty of HR's there:

Doesn't look like Caleb did to well in the Home Run Derby. Still glad he is a Cajun!!

Lafayette's Caleb Adams Bows Out in 1st Round

Louisiana Lafayette outfielder Caleb Adams hit .339 with 16 home runs and 55 RBI last season for the Ragin Cajuns, but he fell in the first round after hitting just three home runs.

Adams led all derby participants with 16 home runs this season, but he wasn't able to get in a groove in the opening round in Omaha. Most believed he would at least make it to the second round of the competition.

Put at least 3 on the warning track. Shugg threw for him and plunked him a couple times

Obviously a huge honor to get invited.

I've got a quick observation about branding, followed by a question...

Did anyone notice how, during the part where the players introduce themselves and their school, Caleb said "Louisiana Lafayette."

Whenever I see players from Miami, they call themselves "The U." and nobody stops them... So presumably players are given a lot of latitude by ESPN to say what they want.

Does our Sports Information Director not prep our players to say "Louisiana"? or "UL"? or at least "Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns"??

Seemed like a blown lay-up. I'm not blaming Caleb - I blame our SID or whoever is doing media relations.

I know the SID is active in promoting usage of "Louisiana" but don't think (or know) if he is a part of the HR Derby.

I agree, the players getting on board could go a long way in properly branding the school.

Charles Tillman who graduated 10 years ago does a better job than some current student athletes.

Why is it the SID's fault? If a kid...on campus...playing an NCAA sport and representing the University...doesn't know the name of his school by now, what will prompting from the SID do? He's not 12 years old.

By the way...all he needed to do was look down at the front of his jersey.

Was in Florida, watched most of the derby, did not see Adams hit so I do not know if he had had either his hitting coach or BP coach pitching to him, if it would have made a difference? Babineaux and Deggs were out on recruiting trips and could not go throw for Adams. One awesome thing is we had TWO players infront a very large crowd in Omaha getting a taste of the CWS. 2014 lets get there and make some noise Cajuns and Lady Cajuns!!!
