LAFAYETTE, La. -- The Ragin' Cajuns basketball team will take a break from summer workouts to play four games against Spanish club teams as part of a 10-day exhibition tour of Spain from Aug. 8-18. _Head coach Bob Marlin made the announcement on Monday.

The extra playing time together should pay huge dividends.

Another factor which will help here is the extra 10 days of conventional practice the players will get prior to departing for the tour. That will be huge considering we have six new players coming on board and one (Brown) coming back from injury. I wonder if our recent commitment from Croatia will be able to participate here. Perhaps he joins the team in Spain and comes back with them vs having to travel to the US and then head back to Europe. Last I heard was that the team was going to play one extra money game (beyond Arkansas and Baylor) to pay for this trip. I wonder which school that will be against.
