My guess would be a parent, ex-player or player.

What I'd like to see is when someone initially jumps onto a forum and begins with "exspurt" reporting is that they identify themselves so readers can judge whether to believe or not them and then decide to respond or not respond.

Not long ago we went through almost the same exercise when UL hired a new women's basketball coach. In that case, knowing the source helped explain a lot about what was posted.

You got the facts right CM, and the writer did not. So when they cannot even get the basic facts correct (and I am talking about what they claimed was being said in this thread) there is little reason to put any credence in what they post.

What chemistry will be disrupted? The chemistry that could not produce more than one run in both the Sun Belt elimination, and NCAA elimination game? Those players need to get better instead of worrying about what another player does or does not bring to the table.

I once had bad chemistry. I bought some flowers and said I was sorry. Good chemistry soon followed.

I would think the rest of the top 5 recruiting class, other than Ms Brignac, might be able to help just a little.

I don't mean to put words into his mouth but I think that he was responding to the gloom-and-doomer post earlier in the thread. I think he was indicating that we have a talented class of recruits coming in, and not JUST Ms. Brignac. They should be able to help get the Cajuns to the WCWS!

Post 30, from the "Apostle" regarding having Brignac having to live up to the hype to show any positives for our recruiting.

  10. UL Softball FOX 15 Video -- Soto May Face Old Team

Vanessa Soto had a great career as a member of the LSU softball team, but before her senior season, she transferred and became a Ragin' Cajun. Now, she could play against her former squad.

This ran Tuesday night... But I was covering the Hornets, so I'm just now getting around to posting it... Sorry for the delay!

I think it's a little more than a "maybe" now, isn't it??... Although I guess the CAJUNS could end up going 2-0 while da tiagras end up going 0-2!!!

I had "Soto Will Face Old Team" as the headline... But since it wasn't absolutely for sure, I changed it to "May."

I'll miss Saturday's game, since I'm doing play-by-play on TV for the UL baseball game... But I'll be at Tiger Park for softball Sunday! Should be a lot of fun.

    pre games

Vanessa Soto left sunny California after graduating from high school in 2004, eager to start a new life and establish a new home with LSU's softball program.

For three years the San Diego native loved her life in Baton Rouge.

Then Soto left the team after last season, unsure whether she wanted to even play the game anymore. She liked Louisiana but needed some new surroundings.

"I made a new life and a new home for myself in Louisiana when I left California as an 18-year-old," said Soto, who did not elaborate on why she left LSU. "I'm a very independent girl and like to be on my own. I liked the fact I had gotten away and created a life for myself.

"I didn't want to go back home."

    Post games

BATON ROUGE - For three years at LSU, Vanessa Soto was the Tigers' anchor at second base.

The San Diego native played in 189 games, starting 183. She batted .315 in her career. She was all-everything - as in All-Louisiana, All-South Region and All-Tournament, including the 2006 SEC Tournament and 2007 Palo Alto Regional.

To that list, now add "all that." Because that's what the senior transplant in UL's lineup this season was during the Baton Rouge Regional.
